My name is Miss Phillips, and I am very excited to be one of the 4th grade teachers at G.R. Whitfield. I am thrilled to be your teacher, and I’m looking forward to a year of learning, fun, and adventures! I can’t wait to learn all about you, but first I’ll tell you a little about me.
I was born and raised in Greenville, North Carolina. So far, I have been here all of my life :-). I attended Pitt County Schools, and after graduating high school, I attended East Carolina University for my undergraduate degree. My undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. I graduated from college again, in 2016, with a Master’s in Elementary Education. This is my 3rd year teaching, but prior to going to school, and while attending school I was able to substitute teach for four years.
In my free time, I love trying crafts and recipes from pinterest, spending as much time as I can with my family and friends, reading, and learning new things!
In this classroom, you are cared about, I value your ideas, thoughts, and actions. You have unique talents and strengths and I can’t wait for you to share them with your classmates. You will bring so much to our class, and I can’t wait to learn more about you!
